Established in 1898, Royal Durban is an old-school club steeped in history and tradition. Having resisted the temptation to try to reinvent itself as a modern club, it remains one of South Africa’s truly great classics. Anybody believing that the club’s short, flat course lacks bite is in for a surprise.
