The Mole was lucky enough to crack the nod to the induction dinner of the class of 2010 of the Southern African Golf Hall of Fame hosted at the Oubaai Golf Resort and Spa.

The day-long event consisted of a golf day, prize giving, golf tutorial from legendary coach Phil Ritson, and the induction dinner.

The Mole was lucky enough to be put in a fourball with one of this year's inductees Brian Henning, what an experience that was!

The class of 2010 inductees are:

Administrators: Maud Gibbs (Deceased) and Jack Watermeyer (Deceased)

Professional Golf: John Bland

Amateur Golf: Clarence Olander (Deceased), Jimmy Boyd (Deceased) and David Suddards

Women’s Golf: Jackie Mercer (Deceased), Gillian Tebbutt and Alison Sheard

Benefactors: George Blumberg (Deceased)

Special Recognition: Theo Manyama, Vincent Tshabalala and Richard Mogoerane

Contribution to Golf: Laurie Waters (Deceased), Brian Henning and Phil Ritson

The Mole also managed to get interviews with Brian Henning and John Bland, which will follow as soon as they have been transcribed.

Stay tuned.
