Thomas Aiken won the 2011 Reale Seguros Open

Almost all of South Africa's international golfing stars will be hitting the fairways this weekend. Find out who they are and where they will be teeing it up below.

The US Tour has the Wells Fargo Championship in North Carolina running from Thursday to Sunday, which not only features crowd favourites Tiger, Rory and Bubba, but also quite a few South African players, too. Retief Goosen, Trevor Immelman, Garth Mulroy and Rory Sabbatini will be men to watch and root for on the local front.

The match-ups are looking rather interesting as well, with pairs like Lee Westwood vs. Tiger Woods and Rickie Fowler vs. Jason Day placed together.

As for the European Tour, the Reale Seguros Open de Espana runs from tomorrow till Sunday and will see a whole host of local competitors — Jbe' Kruger, George Coetzee and James Kingston, among others.

South African defending champion Thomas Aiken will also be returning for a second chance at the cup. For a full list of entrants, see the European Tour site. You can catch the open on SuperSport 1 tomorrow at 14:30.

Scotland hosts the LPGA European Tour's Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open, which will be played on the magnificent Archerfield Links course in East Lothian. With South African entrants Lee-Ann Pace, Ashleigh Simon, Tandi Cuningham, Stacy-Lee Bregman, Monique Smit and Connie Chen present, it will also definitely be worth a watch.

What will you folks be watching this weekend?

What’s the deal with Ernie not playing Quail Hollow? Great showing last week after a decent break…I’d be cashing in on the good form if I were him!

Maybe he’s looking to get another break and save his energy?
