If you’re wondering who will take this week’s Players Championship, look no further than Ben Crane. While it may seem like a random prediction, the omens are clear that engravers have already started inscribing his name on the trophy.
Here’s how our logic works:
Last year we posted the ‘Golf Boys’ rap video that featured Ben Crane, Hunter Mahan, Bubba Watson and Rickie Fowler showing their vocal skills while goofing around on and off the golf course.
So far, 2012 has seen Hunter win the Houston Open, Bubba taking the Masters, and now Rickie scooping up the Wells Fargo Championship.
Which begs the question: will the fourth and final member of this soon-to-be-Grammy-nominated boy band steal the next big title on the PGA tour?
(And also, Golf Boys: innocent mocking rap video, or secret clairvoyant black magic?)
This season, Crane has placed top ten in the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Hyundai Tournament of Champions and the Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation. But he was cut from the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Zurich Classic and Farmers Insurance Open.
So what do you guys think? Will Ben Crane be conquering Sawgrass this year?
And well, if he doesn’t end up winning the Players, obviously he’ll be taking the US Open.
