After the first round of the PGA Championship, there wasn’t a single South African anywhere near the top 10 on the leaderboard. But, somehow they managed to get their acts together in the second round yesterday, jumping from the bottom half, right up to the top half!
As you can see in the table below, all the South Africans moved up by more than 50 places. Oh, and the South African influence clearly got through to the SAA-sponsored Argentinian, Angel Cabrera too!

The only South African to miss the cut was Louis Oosthuizen, which is kind of ironic – he was the best of the South Africans after the first round with a level-par 72. He doubled the last hole... To miss by two strokes. Ouch, Louis, that must hurt!
