How many times is he going to come second ... before he tops himself with a broken putter shaft? A player of his calibre and persona truly deserves a Major win. The guy can play, he just can't close... the 16th and 17th holes were a perfect illustration of that.

Oh well, we'll just have to wait till next year, maybe then Sergio can lift a Major-championship trophy... but then again, with Bionic Tiger on the loose...

• Padraig has won three of the last six Majors
• He is the first European to win the PGA Championship since Tommy Amour in 1930 (when it was still a matchplay tournament)
• He is the only European ever to have won two Majors in a single year
• He joins the impressive list of Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Nick Price and the late Payne Stewart, all of whom have won three Majors...

And finally, is it just me, or is Padraig the only guy out there using Wilson clubs on the PGA Tour? Could he have won more if he was using the same technology as the rest of them...?
