Angel Cabrera was playing the Grand Slam of Golf early this week and was due to fly on Wednesday from Bermuda to Spain to play in this week’s Castello Masters. The only problem, his flight was delayed and he got disqualified!
The plan was to catch an overnight flight from Bermuda to Europe but a series of flight delays and strong winds didn’t help his cause. He even chartered a helicopter to try to rush him to the course, but he still didn’t make it on time.
To top it off, his group managed to play one hole before play was suspended because of very strong winds. If they hadn’t teed off, he would have been able to join them and would have avoided disqualification! Unlucky!
