Okay, so the Mole voiced his opinions about ‘the Nedbank’ earlier this week, but this morning’s player announcement did include some light at the end of the tunnel…

Topping the bill from a spectator’s point of view is undoubtedly young Rory McIlroy. The Mole was actually at Carnoustie a few years ago when the wee laddie made a name for himself in the howling wind and pelting rain – and even back then it was clear he was destined for greatness. So prepare to knock back a few cans o’ Guinness and cheer him on. Even more exciting, however, is the prospect of Timmy Clark coming home because it surely means he’ll stick around for a bit of ‘Sunshine’ as well. It also means the mole’s old mate Ian Kennedy will probably be taking leave from his Golf Director position at Steenberg for a week or two to take up bagman duties for his mate Tim – and hope to pay off his house bond by the end of the year (how much exactly is 10 percent of $1.2 million?)!

From the Mole's last post about the field for Nedbank, you no doubt know the hassles they’ve had this year assembling a top-class field, but at least there are three local lads in the filed, we get to see Angel Cabrera chewing gum rather than smoking this year… Here’s how the field looks.
