The web was all abuzz this morning with opinion and excitement about Tiger’s return – and with good reason. Given the circumstances, it seems as if he’s been away forever. It was four-and-a-half months back, just before his world came crashing down, that he won the Australian Masters - by his standards, that’s a veritable lifetime.

After four months of scandal, the not-so-perfect Tiger Woods will return to the golfing world. The Masters will offer Woods some much needed privacy and security considering that he doesn’t really know how the public are going to react to his return.

The Mole is exceptionally proud to see Ernie Els in the winner’s circle once again after a flawless week at the WGC CA Championship. After more than two years since Ernie won a PGA Tour title (or any title for that matter), the Mole was doubting whether the Big Easy still had a few more wins in him. But Ernie sure put the Mole in his place last night, and the Mole is happy with that.

For the first time in two years, Ernie Els finds himself leading an event on US soil. Rushing to complete his second round before huge storm clouds gathered over Doral, eventually causing play to be suspended for three hours, Ernie was somewhat relieved to be in the clubhouse.
