If you haven’t already done it, pen into your diary the PGA Golf Show at Country Club Johannesburg this weekend – it’s one golfing event that you really don’t want to miss and, along with the Telkom PGA Championship, there is no entry fee!

From Friday the 20th to Sunday the 22nd of February, join Compleat Golfer along with thousands of other golf fans at the 2009 PGA Golf Show and the Telkom PGA Championship at Country Club Johannesburg. Entry is free and golfers will have the opportunity to test out all the very latest equipment on the market and walk the stalls to see what is new and exciting in the world of golf.

Unlike the American PGA Merchandise Show, the PGA Golf Show is open to the public, and everyone from beginner to pro will enjoy being able to test out the latest offerings from the top equipment manufacturers, get a lesson from a PGA pro, and watch some great professional golf action in one of the Sunshine Tour’s premier events. For the past two years, rising star Louis Oosthuizen has dominated the event; in 2007 he snatched a dramatic one-shot victory from Richard Sterne and Marc Cayeaux, and last year he took hold of the tournament on day two with a magnificent round of 63. Spectators are guaranteed that Shrekkie will be back, fired up and ready to defend his title.

All in all, it’s a recipe for a great weekend of golf that is kicked off by the prestigious Compleat Golfer Awards Dinner where the who’s who will gather to celebrate the achievements of the past years. If you want to be a part of the action, get down to Country Club Johannesburg from 10:30 to 18:30 on Friday, 20 February, from 09:00 to 17:30 on Saturday, 21 February and from 09:00 to 16:00 on Sunday, 22 February.
