Amid all sorts of controversy with Callaway over patent infringements, Titleist has re-launched the Pro V1 and Pro V1x.
Dubbed the 2009 version, these balls are said to be improved, while the parts of the ball that fall under the patents in question have been revised.
Camilo Villegas said, “I am really happy with the New 2009 Pro V1. It was an easy change for me. This has a little more spin and I have gained more control from tee-to-green.”
It’s apparently longer than ever – aren’t all clubs and balls? But it does spin more. Durability will be key: since the Pro V1 was first launched in 2000, cover technology has come a long way. Therefore, for those of you who can play a whole round without losing a ball, you might notice improvements in the condition of the ball.
