Nike still persisting with the square head
   
Nike Golf has released images of its latest square-headed driver, the SQ MachSpeed. It’s a well known fact that square drivers sacrifice a little bit of distance for accuracy, but Nike claim to have fixed this problem by improving the aerodynamics.

It’s the time of year when manufacturers are all rushing to release their new irons ahead of the Christmas rush. TaylorMade has officially launched the R9 irons to complement the family of R9 drivers and fairway metals.

Paul Casey leaks Nike’s new driver
   
Yes, it’s that time of year. If you haven’t seen the Christmas crackers in your stores already then you need to take a closer look because, everyone is gearing up for Christmas; even golf manufacturers! Paul Casey recently tweeted these pictures of the, yet-to-be released, Nike Victory Red driver.

The Mole posted a few spy photos of TaylorMade’s new TP wedge a couple of weeks ago and now it’s official, they will be releasing the new TP wedge with exchangeable face technology (no surprises with the three-letter abbreviation, then: XFT...). The wedge looks pretty sleek in the Mole’s opinion but, he wonders if it will actually catch on.

If you’ve been scouring the golf underground of late, the fact that Nike unveiled their ‘groundbreaking’ new putter idea and are about to flog it in golf shops around the world will be old news. Which must be making the guys at YES! Putter company smile because they did it first and, as we all know, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery…

The Mole managed to get his hands on these pictures of the latest Titleist irons, due for release pretty soon. The AP1s and AP2s will be updated, while there will be a new muscle back and cavity back set. All the clubs will carry the number “710” on the hozel, for the year 2010.

Mizuno has just released its new irons for 2009. They are the MP-68s (blades), the MP58s (the more forgiving muscle-cavity back), the MX-1000s and MX-300s (the game-improvement irons).

If you needed any proof that college football was the next best thing since sliced bread in the US, then look no further. Nike’s staff players will be wearing the colours of their respective colleges on Saturday at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
