Hip Flexor shutdown
comments: 0

Question:
Tiger ,was he in a defensive mode physically?

Answer:
Now I know hind sight is the most perfect science, but on the 3rd day I could see that Tiger was not going to attack on the fourth day. If someone does have some video footage on the 3rd day, have a look at Tigers gait (walk on)the back 9. It may not be obvious to all but his left hip was not moving as well as the right. The reason being is that his hip flexor on the left had shut down and his quadriceps had taken over the funtion of hip flexion. In essence this had caused his left hip to shut down. This would not allow him to get his hip out of the way in his swing path and thus disrupt his fluidity and consisitency. Personally I think this shut down is a defensive pattern his body has created to protect his knee.

Only a thought ,but make's one think doesn't it ?
