The world’s longest [worst] golf course?

The Australians have done it again and come up with something truly bizarre, the world’s longest golf course. It’s a full 18 holes spread over the Australian Outback, well, 1 365 km of Outback for those of you who like to be precise.

Fortunately, most of that distance isn’t actually golfing, but rather driving. The idea behind “the world’s longest [worst] golf course” is that play one hole and then drive to the next one, which is more often than not 100 km further down the road.

There is “plenty” of wildlife along the route and you could expect to see kangaroos, wombats and dingoes (who apparently have quite a thing for stealing golf balls). Sorry, what? Are those even real animals? What about lions, leopards, elephant and rhino?

But the Mole is still wondering, who on earth would want to do this? Driving around for seven days while playing golf in the barren Outback… Just to see the occasional dingo. No thanks! He’d rather go to Leopard Creek where you can play on a real golf course and see real wildlife.

Only the Australians…

Great
It's all about adventure- seeing the country while zapping the occasional ball. Don't miss the point and loose out.

aussies can keep it
i would rather watch paint dry than try and play ONE course for 7 days. And the worse thing about it is that when you are not playing you are sitting in a car driving. bring on SA courses. they are the best in the world

what saffa rubbish
this rubbish is obviously written by someone who lives in a land the size of a peanut - yeah, go and cart yourself around a 7000 yard course and see animals you can go to any african country and see just as easily. this course is about adventure and living - not paying to play on recycled water fairways among animals you can see everywhere anyway.
