TaylorMade Golf has unleashed its latest driver and on paper, it looks incredible. The all-new R1 takes club adjustability to a whole new level, thanks to an extreme number of loft and face angle settings.
TaylorMade claims that the new R1 can be adjusted and set up with no less than 168 combinations. There are 12 loft settings, ranging from 8 to 12 degrees and there are 7 face-angle settings to make the most of your swing. The driver’s loft and face angle are also able to be adjusted independently, while the weights in the head can be shifted around to change your shot shape. If you want to induce a draw or neutral drive, then it’s just a case of moving one of the weights.
I can’t wait to give this driver a hit and I’m sure Jason the equipment editor feels the same. In the meantime, check out the rather cool promo video that TaylorMade created for its new R1 driver.
