...winner on the European Tour, and Luke Wilson, brother of the more famous American actor Owen Wilson, I was shocked (possibly in a good way) with what I found. It says on the website that Edfors and Wilson actually helped “bling out” the 2008 Special Edition Collection – with the assistance of Puma stylists no doubt – but what they have come up with is somewhat trendy.
From the shoes pictured above, it’s no wonder Edfors’ last win came in 2006 and that his world ranking has dropped over 60 positions. Does he play by looking at the reflection of his surroundings on the shoes, or possibly, could they be blinding him in broad daylight? These are the Special Edition Swing GTX shoes, with a ’50s inspired upper, along with the Smart Quill® technology underneath, replacing the standard stud. The shoes also come with Gore-Tex, which ensures that they breathe while still being waterproof.
Owning a pair could be a great way to attract the attention of the members at your local golf club, but I have no doubt that they might point you in the direction of the local gentleman’s club if you are over the age of 35. Overall the products on display are great, with a classy retro design and a focus on the greens, whites and silvers.
For those of you who are not too keen on looking “pimped out” and take a more functional approach to your golfing apparel, it is probably a better idea to look at the standard range of products from Puma. There is a great selection of belts, shoes and shirts which is sure to make you look the part on the course, without scaring the junior members – or their parents. There are also some exclusive videos featuring Edfors and Wilson; check it out Puma Golf
