Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy and Darren Clarke have both honoured for their Major wins last year by being given Laureus Awards to commend their respective seasons last year.
Rory McIlroy was given the Laureus Award for World Breakthrough of the Year after his win in the US Open, while Clarke earned the World Comeback of the Year for winning the British Open.
Yani Tseng was nominated for the World Sportswoman of the Year, but lost out to Kenya's long distance world champion Vivian Cheruiyot, which confused the Mole a tad. What more does Yani Tseng have to do to win that award?
Tennis ace Novak Djokovic won the main-event 'World Sportsman of the Year' Award, and South African double amputee Oscar Pistorius won the disability award for winning a silver medal in the able-bodied World Athletic Championship 400-meters in South Korea last year.
