If you are tired of the same old beige, white or navy chino’s that are regularly worn on the golf course then you should check out the funky new range of golf trousers on offer from Caddi Slax.
These attention-grabbing golf pants are the brain-child of Teneale du Plessis and Adam Hayes, who had a vision of making golf gear that will not only make a statement on the golf course, but could also be used as a medium to raise funds for needy organisations. The Caddi Slax team appealed to the South African sense of humour when they used Design Team and So Kiff Fabrics to create some proudly South African designs, drawing on stereotypes and some original South African slang.
The result is loud, original and highly visible and was well received by the local golfing fraternity. “Funky, fun and full of attitude,” said Heino Kuhn, Nashua Titans player while restaurateur, Patrick Goddard, was also suitably impressed. “I love the look and feel of Caddi Slax,” he said, “I’m definitely bringing sexy back.”
Charitable goals
The aim is to challenge corporates, some of whom have approached Caddi Slax with some specific design requests in mind, in an effort to raise funds and direct proceeds where they are truly needed.
Caddi Slax are currently in the process of making golf pants sporting images of rhinos, with powerful wording, in an effort to create awareness and raise funds to save the rhino from extinction. They also hope to make strides against breast cancer and provide financial assistance for victims who cannot afford treatment by establishing the Caddi Slax fund.
