Ernie Els spotted with a new Callaway driver at the Frys.com

It seems like Callaway will be the next equipment manufacturer to join the adjustable driver market, with Ernie Els and a few other staff players testing its new big stick at the Frys.com Open last week.

News of this new driver has been around for the last few weeks, but it wasn’t until last week at the Frys.com Open that the new Callaway RAZR Fit driver was seen in players’ hands, and it looks to be an exciting advancement for Callaway.

How the new Callaway RAZR Fit works

The adjustable sleeve on the shaft looks very similar to that on the Titleist 910 woods, with specially designed rings on the hosel that can be rotated to change the loft and lie angle of the clubhead. It also looks like there are adjustable weight screws in the sole for adding or removing weight from the heel and toe.

I cannot wait to get my hands on one of these drivers, especially since the Callaway RAZR Hawk driver was one of the longest big sticks this year. And now with a bit of added adjustability, it will be even better. There is still no word as to when the Callaway RAZR Fit driver will be hitting the tee boxes around our country, but keep an eye on the equipment section of our website and forthcoming issues of Compleat Golfer for a more in depth description of this driver.
